Happy Friday readers! I am super excited for todays post! I am also just happy it is Friday . :) Anyway, today I am reviewing Delirium by Lauren Oliver!
Lena Haloway lives in a futuristic United States, where the government teaches that love is a disease, so when citizens turn eighteen they are required to be "cured", so they will never love again. Lena's mother was destroyed by the power of love, so Lena herself is counting down the days until she receives the cure. Exactly ninety-five days until Lena is cured, she meets Alex, a man from the Wilds that the government doesn't know about. What could be the consequences for doing exactly what everyone is told so dangerous: to fall in love?
I really enjoyed this book. The author is fantastic too, I ended up reading most of her other books. What I liked about this book was the forbidden love. The fact that is was against the rules gave the entire book and exciting, adrenaline-pumping mood.
At the end of this book is a pretty major cliffhanger. After I read Delirium, I started the next book, Pandemonium, but I couldn't get into the book and it felt like a completely different story. I regret not knowing how the series ended though, so if you wanted to tell me how it ended, I would love it.
I am glad you came by to read this review and I hope you come again! See you on Monday!
